Aishath Lene Abdulla Amir, Maldives – Top Paper Award in Introduction to Travel, Tourism and Hospitality studied at Clique College
I was born and raised in the capital, Male' City where I live with my family; my mother, my father, my elder brother and his wife.
After my primary and secondary education I joined Clique College in 2015 and have completed my ABE Level 4 Diploma in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management quite recently. I must appreciate all lecturers, staff and management of Clique College for their support and most of all the wonderful friendly environment.
I particularly chose this course because ABE provides a recognised qualification all over the world and opens a fast route to university education. Moreover I believe that ABE has successfully kept pace with the real-world applications of business.
During my ABE course, what stood out for me most was that this course took a practical approach towards understanding realistic implementations of businesses. It helped me learn the nature of the tourism and hospitality industry, which I believe will be useful when it comes to career prospects in the respective field. Along with fruitful learning, I also note that ABE courses are effectively designed courses that promote collaboration with my colleagues and I found this helpful in productive participation with those around me.
Since I recently finished my Level 4 diploma I am now seeking employment but as for my immediate future I plan on pursuing further education from this area. I am also active in the field of sports including basketball and handball and I plan on dividing my time between my studies and sports.
