Amosi Robert Banda, Malawi - Top Paper Award Principles of Business Law - studied at Pact College
I am from Malawi, and I am currently on my completion route for a Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management Level 5 which I am expecting to finish in June 2016. I studied my ABE course at Pact College
Meantime, I am also working at Lilongwe Handling Company as a Human Resources Officer.
I chose ABE because of its mode of delivery and the learning resources it provides: it makes my studies simple and manageable alongside my work commitments.
Public and employers think that ABE is a professional body which offers valid and recognised qualifications to the world.
My plans, after completing my qualification, are to start a Diploma Level 6 with ABE which will help me attain a Bachelors degree.
The best thing about studying ABE is that it’s a body which is recognised, affordable and which provides flexibility in its learning system such that within a semester you can earn a Diploma. It is also an easier way to progress to a Bachelors degree as most of the universities consider it as being consistent and having the same value with their learning system.
The most important skills that I have gained studying with ABE which are useful also for my job are leadership skills and team management, just to mention a couple.
My advice for students would be to be restless and discontent: these are the first necessities of progress, as such time management should be a priority. Apart from that, knowledge of the subject matter is also important if success is to be realised. Make great use of the learning materials which ABE provides such as study manuals which offer straight forward and well explained solutions to every day problems.
My long-term plans for future are to at least get a Bachelors degree with any reputable learning institution and to also do a Masters degree in Human Resource Management.
Lastly I would like to praise my tutor Mr Allan Muhome for his time ,dedication and assistance in enlighten myself during classes at Pact College. Also my class mates, family and my wife, Loveness Banda, for being behind my success. May God continue showering his blessings on us.
