Delex Baker, St Vincent – Top Paper Award in Information Systems Development studied at SVG National Centre of Technological Innovation

Delex BakerI am from the beautiful Caribbean island of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. I am the last of five children. I have a love for learning and a passion for setting and achieving goals. My area of expertise is Information Technology, however I decided to make a career change and focus on Business Management.  Hence beginning my journey with ABE.

I chose ABE because of the cost effectiveness of the programmes offered. ABE qualifications give you value for your money.  Compared to similar qualifications offered in my country, ABE appealed the most to me both financially and for matriculation purposes i.e. ABE qualifications made it easier and more affordable to gain access to a degree programme.

I started my studies at the National Centre of Technological Innovation located in Kingstown the capital of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.  ABE is relatively new in my country, however professionals involved in higher learning are aware of the very high standards of ABE.

After completing my Level 5 Diploma I plan to move on to the Level 6 Diploma in Business Management.

ABE courses are very comprehensive, I am impressed with the structure and content. I am truly amazed at the amount of knowledge I have acquired over the two years I have been studying them. I would recommend ABE to anyone looking for a high quality qualification.

Studying with ABE has allowed me to develop my analytical skills, I have acquired a vast amount of knowledge that has shaped me in to a well rounded business professional. I am confident that with the skills  I have gained, I will be able to make a difference in my country.

I recommend using all the resources ABE provides especially the examiners' reports. Pay close attention to them as they will guide you in how to effectively answer exam questions.  Furthermore I recommend using the unit syllabus in your studies. By using the syllabus, you can get an idea of how much of a course you have covered. This can help you identify weak areas you need to focus on and  also help you in selecting optional questions on your exam.

I plan on using my ABE qualifications to complete a degree in Business Management and then move on to doing a MBA in order to achieve one of my dreams of being a senior manager.
