Ahmed Noorally Fazal, Tanzania – Top Paper Award in Introduction to Entrepreneurship, studied at Financial Training Centre
Ahmed has been able to develop a host of business skills through studying with ABE. Here's his story:
"My name is Ahmed Noorally Fazal, I am originally from a city known as Tanga here in Tanzania. I have moved to Dar-es-salaam so as to pursue my ABE qualification, as the course is found in Dar-es-salaam. I am the eldest son of my parents. My parents depend on me as the one to take care of them in future. I achieved ordinary and advanced level of secondary education. I also achieved ABE level 3 and Level 4 foundation in Diploma. I achieved extra short course such as level 2 certificate in Employability Skills and Digital Marketing. I also have working experience in office administration.
I chose ABE because the programme provides professional qualification, flexibility, well-structured modules and useful resources. ABE is gaining recognition by many organisations. A number of colleges offer the tuition so that a wide cross section of people from the workplace enrol in the classes and are successful thereby enhancing their performance. I appreciate the FB training centre management for offering this course and i would like to take this opportunity to give special thanks to the management for hiring the best lecturers who put lots of effort to ensure the students are performing well and motivating them to achieve their goals.
ABE is gaining recognition globally and has produced many successful entrepreneurs. This has made Tanzanian employers value ABE qualification as they are aware of the skills and training the employees get through pursuing the qualification, therefore ABE has been beneficiary for both employees and employers globally since it provides all vital skills required in business management.
After completing my ABE qualification, I would prefer taking an immediate action of moving forward to pursue my master’s in business management since an ABE level 6 qualification is equivalent to the final year of a bachelor’s degree.
The best thing about studying with ABE is that it provides all vital skills required for effective working such as team working and individual working. Not only that, but ABE provides skills in each functional department which ensures an employee’s work within an organisation is effective since employees do have knowledge in each sector.
I have gained many skills such as; accounting, financial, management, human resources, employability, project management, digital marketing and sales.
The introduction of the new syllabus which includes writing of assignments, has made me gain skills on writing and researching for more details which I believe will be very beneficial in my further studies, such as in writing a PhD.
Here are some tips that I would like to share for successful study:
- Focusing during classes or during studying.
- Try to understand the concept rather than memorising everything.
- Take at least a two hour self study daily following the routine you have planned for your own.
- Self testing and practising questions are most important.
- Never give up once you find a mistake in yourself, always be confident and keep trying, As we make mistakes in life, we learn from these.
- Make up a group study with friends.
- Use logic to answer questions.
- Be willing to learn new things
Finally i would like to give special thanks to some of my role models who contributed a lot in my success and I would like to give special thanks to one of my best lecturers Sir Gard Apuko who has always been supportive and a motivator, I would even like to thank the entire administration office together with the other lecturers including Sir Douglas Muna, Sukaina Sherrif, Samuel Agasa and my parents too for supporting me in my success."
