I was not working at the time that I started the programme but it has certainly helped me land a great job recently and I love it.
Accounting assistant, Kezia, is enjoying applying her studies to her work. She has long-term plans to represent soca music artistes. Here's her story:
"I am 24 years old and have many passions and hobbies including graphic design and social media management. I have three brothers and two sisters and I was the second born. Currently I am an Accounting Assistant at Sagicor General and I enjoy it very much.
I chose to study ABE because I needed to further my education and the ABE programme really caught my eye as an affordable way to achieve something more in my life. I studied my ABE course at CTS College. This college not only has an amazing set of lecturers that give each student one on one attention if needed, but it is also prides itself on great customer service.
I believe that my country’s impression of ABE is that it is very affordable and great for individuals who are eager to learn and improve their lives. The best thing about studying ABE is knowing that I am getting a quality education and not settling for just any course. I was not working at the time that I started the programme but it has certainly helped me land a great job recently and I love it.
My main study tip would be proper time management. Put aside the time to study and during that time do not let anything distract you. If you need to alert your friends and family that you are studying then do so and put your phone and other devices on silent.
My immediate plans is to do my Bachelors Degree in Administration. My long term plan is to be a talent manager for soca artistes in my country."
