I chose to study with ABE for its worldwide recognition and affordability.
Padma holds the post of Chief Officer Operations at Air Mauritius, and chose ABE on the recommendation of her friends. Here's her story:
"I am married and a mother of two daughters. I studied at Loreto Convent Port Louis. I worked for almost eight years in the public sector before I joined Air Mauritius in 1999. I hold the post of Chief Officer (as a flight dispatcher) in the Flight Operations Department. In the long-term, I aim to become a Duty Manager at Air Mauritius.
I chose to study with ABE for its worldwide recognition and affordability. My friends also encouraged me to choose ABE for its flexibility. There is a good impression of ABE and some of my friends got their degree by topping up from their ABE qualification. I like that I can study at my own pace.
The skills that I gained from ABE are:
Knowledge of managing people.
Development of analytical thinking.
I have found that I am able to link the theories learnt throughout this course to my work.
I believe that attending class, and engaging with your lecturer on issues you find difficult, can lead to successful study. Tips that I would give to other students are to read study guides and do lots of research about the topic. YouTube is also of great use. One should always be up to date on issues concerning their field of study.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my lecturer for the EFM module for his role in my academic achievement. He is a very dedicated person and always ready to help his students. A big thanks also goes to my family and friends for their support and motivation throughout this journey."
