We are delighted to announce an agreement with Creative Education Trust (CET) which will become the first UK multi-academy trust to offer ABE Endorsed KidsMBA to its secondary schools, with five confirming their plans to run the programme.
With this number of schools offering the programme to a wider group of children, CET will also work with ABE to gather more quantitative data about the impact of providing enterprise education at a younger age. It will build on the information provided by other schools running the KidsMBA programme to further demonstrate the irrefutable evidence that good quality entrepreneurship education should be made available to all children from the start of secondary school if the next generation is to flourish in the decades to come.
CET schools provide a knowledge-rich curriculum integrated with modern skills and creativity. As a future-facing enterprise education programme for children aged 11-15, KidsMBA complements this ethos perfectly. Skills such as adaptability, creativity and flexibility of thought are developed as essential components of an entrepreneurial mindset.
ABE Chief Executive Rob May said, “With the introduction of greater freedoms and flexibilities to bring this type of programme into the state sector we can open the door to inclusive entrepreneurship education that helps children to imagine future life as an entrepreneur whatever their background. The information we gather from the CET delivery will inform our dialogue with the Department of Education and help influence future policy.”
