The workplace is changing. The skills people need are changing with it.
With this in mind, ABE is launching Future Workskills, a new suite of practical professional development programmes designed to help organisations and individuals develop the capabilities needed for the AI-enabled workplace.
Artificial intelligence is transforming how people work, communicate and make decisions. Adapting successfully requires more than knowing how to use new technology. Employers need people who can apply AI responsibly, exercise professional judgement, lead change and share skills effectively with others.
ABE's Future Workskills programmes have been developed to meet that need.
The initial portfolio comprises four employer-focused programmes designed for delivery over one or two days:
- AI Fundamentals for the Modern Workforce – helping people use AI confidently, responsibly and productively at work.
- AI for Social Media, Sales and Marketing – applying AI to practical marketing, customer engagement and sales activities.
- Workplace Skills Trainer – helping workplace experts become confident trainers using the EDIP (Explain, Demonstrate, Imitate, Practice) methodology.
- Leading AI Transformation: Strategy, People and Organisational Change – equipping leaders to identify AI opportunities, engage their people, establish responsible governance and turn ideas into measurable action.

Practical skills for a changing workplace
Future Workskills programmes are designed around application rather than theory, with learners developing skills they can put to work immediately.
Rob Kindness, ABE Sales Director, who has been instrumental in developing the portfolio, said, “The workplace is changing faster than traditional training can sometimes respond. Future Workskills programmes respond to that challenge. AI is inevitably an important part of that, but Future Workskills isn't simply about learning how to use AI tools. It's about combining technology with human judgement, responsible decision-making, leadership and the ability to adapt as work continues to change.”
