ABE qualifications are assessed by either an open book exam (OBE), an assignment or a traditional timed exam (read About ABE Assessments for details). Our Executive Leadership suite, Project Management and Sustainability qualifications are available throughout the year and operate on a monthly eight-week turnaround.
Assessments for ABE's Business suite and Travel, Tourism and Hospitality qualifications take place biannually: the second quarter and final quarter, plus there is a third assignment-only window in March.
If you are studying for a longer ABE qualification, please ensure you are aware of all the deadlines for each assessment window:
To book an assessment you first need to be registered with us. This will need to be kept active with an annual subscription. Assessments can then be booked either by your ABE study centre on your behalf or with us directly. Information about how to do this is available on your country page.
New learners can register with ABE throughout the year, this will provide immediate access to all our study resources, however, if you wish to take an assessment in a particular session you need to observe the registration deadlines published below.
There is no limit to the number of assessments you can book, you can take as much or as little time as you need to achieve your qualification, but we do not recommend taking more than five units in any one session.
Don't forget to use the resources in the members' portal. These are designed to help you and, maybe, you will join our Top Paper Award winners (see Grades and Awards)! We wish you every success!
You can see our standard global assessment fees here.
