ABE launches new AI productivity and cybersecurity training programmes

ABE has launched two new training programmes addressing important skills needs in today's workplace. Cybersecurity Awareness Training for the Workplace and Generative AI for Office Productivity offer practical, accessible professional development that helps employees work more effectively, confidently and securely.

Both courses emphasise real-world application, helping employees develop skills they can use immediately, without requiring a technical background. They are part of the ABE Future Workskills suite and are designed for delivery by training providers and employers.

Cybersecurity Awareness Training for the Workplace

As cyber threats become increasingly sophisticated, cybersecurity awareness is relevant to employees across almost every role and sector.

This practical, non-technical programme helps people recognise common cybersecurity risks, make safer decisions and respond appropriately to potential threats.

Covering phishing, social engineering, passwords, data security, remote working and AI-enabled deception, the programme uses a simple STOP → CHECK → VERIFY → REPORT framework to help learners develop safer workplace behaviours.

Rather than focusing on technical expertise, the emphasis is on building confidence, awareness and a positive culture of cybersecurity responsibility.

Generative AI for Office Productivity

Generative AI is creating opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity across everyday business activities. However, realising these benefits requires employees to use AI effectively and responsibly.

This practical one-day programme helps learners use generative AI to support routine workplace tasks including emails, documents, meetings, research and presentations.

Participants will develop effective prompting techniques, learn how to critically review AI-generated outputs and explore ways to integrate AI into their everyday work while maintaining confidentiality, accuracy and professional judgement.

Learners leave with usable prompts and a personal productivity action plan to help them put their new skills into practice.

Opportunities for training providers

These programmes create further opportunities for training providers to diversify, reach new audiences and develop relationships with employers seeking practical workforce training.

Both programmes include comprehensive, ready-to-use teaching and learning resources, enabling approved delivery partners to respond to emerging demand without developing programmes from scratch.

The new courses complement ABE's existing Future Workskills portfolio, which combines practical digital skills with the human judgement, leadership and adaptability needed in a rapidly changing workplace.
