ABE was not Dean’s first choice, however, he soon realised ABE was the perfect fit, offering a fast and credible pathway to higher education and career growth. Having gained vital skills in leadership, teamwork, and business management, he now hopes to pursue further studies, potentially up to PhD level, and one day establish his own company. ''My name is Dean Mossiwa from Mvera, Dowa District, and I am the third-born in a family of five siblings. I did my primary school at Mbira L.E.A School, and I started my secondary school at Mvera Community Day Secondary School and proceeded to Chasefu Adventist Secondary School in Mzuzu, where I got my MSCE before being enrolled as an ABE student
At first, ABE wasn't my priority, but after I failed to pursue my dream career, I decided to give it a try, realising how quickly it could help me earn a university degree, not knowing that it would become my best choice to be proud of.
I first joined ABE under Mzuzu Technical College, then, due to other reasons, including finances, I decided to register as a private learner affiliated with BMAC Learning, where I finished my Level 6.
Most employers now understand how ABE differs from various local professional papers, knowing that we pass using our potential, not the relationships we have with our lecturers. This means that when employed, we will be able to perform better compared to others from various schools.
I would love to find a scholarship at a world-renowned university and continue with my studies, whether a degree or a Masters.
With ABE, you learn a lot of skills necessary to start a business or to get employed in this dynamic environment, as well as being the fastest route to a university degree, whether local or international.
From studying with ABE, I gained skills such as computer literacy, teamwork skills, leadership skills, and business environment screening skills.
My advice for a successful study is to research and online studies featured in the study guides, including past papers and OBE's practice.
In the long term, I want to go as far as a PhD and open my own company where employees will be treated as the second owners of the business.''
