Entrepreneur Dibbi chose ABE because she has a passion for learning and wanted a qualification that would help her be a great manager to her staff as she grows her business, Dulce Delights.  Here's her story:

"I was born and raised in a small community called “Soesdyke”. I am the middle child, with an older sister and younger brother. My dad was the most educated member of my small family, but with passing years; his studies were outdated to mine. This was when I started to study on my own and used good grades as my motivation. I like learning; it has helped me build a business without any professional training and little to no guidance. My passion for learning has taught me to manage my business, keep up with the trends and acquire 100% customer satisfaction.

ABE has offered me flexible time, a favourable payment plan and an opportunity to pursue my passion for human resources at a pace comfortable to me.  I can study with ease and be guided accordingly. I later decided to self-study, which is another awesome criteria offered by the institution.

The feeling about  ABE in Guyana is that the working millennial loves it. It gives them time to balance work and play. The older folks are also now getting the opportunity to add the relevant qualifications to their experience.  Through my studies I have gained People Management and understanding of various behaviours; these two factors have helped me tremendously in the customer service arena as well as dealing with employees.

My tips for successful study are to factor in a revision period after every session and to use your studies in everyday situations.  It will help you to understand concepts better and remember them as well.

My long term plan is to continue managing my own company with employees that receive the best leadership! Training and growing a team that becomes family."
