Eva Ewurama Awuah is a human resource management student from Ghana. She says ''ABE provided a practical and flexible way to pursue her Masters’ program.'' She also shares some excellent tips on how to succeed in your studies. Here’s her full story:

My name is Eva Ewurama Awuah. It is an honour for me to receive the Top Paper award as it's a validation of my hard work and dedication. This recognition motivates me to push the boundaries of my knowledge. You must aspire to remain curious, passionate, and persistent.

I won the award for Strategic Human Resource Management because I am a human resource management student.

I’m from Ghana in the Western part of Africa. I am the last child out of eight children of my parents. Mrs. Georgina and Mr. Alexander are my father's and mother's names, respectively. I was born in the Eastern Region of the country but lived most of my life in the Western region. I graduated from secondary school in Fijai in the Western Region and then went to Koforidua Technical University to get a diploma in Information Technology.

ABE is the easiest way to pursue my Masters’ because it is a stepping stone to my career as a human resource personnel. I studied ABE at Pentecost University College in Ghana because of its practicality.

ABE is a highly respected course in my society and to the public at large. I want to continue my Masters’ program but because of financial issues, I want to do my national service and save money for it. I like the flexibility that ABE offers and the materials it provides.

Studying with ABE has helped me gain effective decision-making skills, the ability to research, interpret and use business and financial data, self-reliance, initiative, and the ability to manage time, projects, and resources.

My tips for a successful study are:

  • To make room for your studies.
  • Stick to your study plan.
  • Understand your learning style.
  • Stay on top of it all.

My plan for the future is to become a HR consultant and pursue a career in management.

Thank you for making the learning environment positive! Students receive the highest level of resources and materials. I learned a lot while studying with ABE.
