Martika currently works as an agriculture officer and lives in Mauritius with her two children. Here is her story:
"I am Martika Gilia, a single mum of two adorable kids, living in Britannia, in the south of Mauritius. When I started my diploma, I was a customer service agent in a bank and now I am an agricultural officer. I completed a college certificate before completing my ABE diploma.
I chose ABE because it is recognised internationally and has a good reputation. ABE has left a good impression with the public and employers in my country as it is a pathway which leads to international certification.
The best part of studying with ABE is that it provides opportunities to learn which has expanded my access to experiential learning activities.
Once I have completed my current ABE qualification, I plan to start my own business and be my own boss. As I get the skills and knowledge this will allow me to pursue a good career, I am also becoming more self-confident.
I have gained more motivation and problem-solving skills since studying ABE, as before I could not make a good decision. These skills can lead to advancement opportunities.
