''Hailing from the beautiful country of Guyana, located in South America, my name is Theodosia Bunbury-Pieters. I have successfully completed the ABE Level 4 Foundation Diploma in Business Management, and I am currently pursuing the ABE Level 5.
I chose to study ABE because it is internationally recognised and tailored to suit the demands of the working world. In addition, the flexibility of this programme suits me due to my demanding work schedule and my recognition that it focuses on practical business skills and knowledge, especially in Human Resources, which is my key area of focus.
Additionally, my pursuit of studies with ABE at Nations School of Business and Management in Georgetown, Guyana, is because this institution has competent lecturers who go beyond the call of duty to provide support and guidance whenever the need arises, to which I am most grateful.
ABE is regarded as a respected qualification in Guyana; this country is among the top 5 internationally recognised for student enrolment in the ABE programme. The view of this programme is that it is credible and useful, especially for Business Management and Human Resources.
My immediate plan after completing my current ABE programme is to continue studying until I achieve my Masters.
The best thing about studying with ABE is that it gives me an internationally recognised credential, while teaching real-world and practical business skills. It is not just about the theory; it will also help me to manage operations effectively.
Studying with ABE has equipped me thus far with the professional and managerial skills that are relevant to today’s workplace. In addition, I have learned to improve my communication and team-building skills.
I have no regrets in choosing to study this programme. A few tips I would like to share that can encourage others in their studies are to make good use of the resources provided, be engaged in repetitive reading, even if it is just an hour per day, while completing the activities in the study guide provided.
My long-term career plan is to become an expert in Human Resources, where I can lend my expertise to my organisation as the need arises.''
