Marlborough College to offer KidsMBA

We are pleased to welcome Marlborough College to the cohort of outstanding schools which, recognising the lifelong value of developing entrepreneurial thinking from an early age, are including ABE Endorsed KidsMBA in their wider curriculum.

Marlborough College is the largest co-educational independent full boarding school in the UK with over 1000 pupils, in 16 boarding houses, aged 13 to 18.  The College is academically ambitious, committed to extending access, and offers a fast-paced, contemporary, challenging and enriching education within a happy, inclusive and spiritual environment. Pupils leave Marlborough as well-rounded individuals who are open-minded, adaptable and socially minded with a strong sense of perspective for their community and the wider world.

ABE’s Director of Business Development, Steve Smith said, “KidsMBA develops skills and behaviours well beyond learning about starting and growing a business. The course promotes the ability to stick at problems and proactively find creative solutions. It advocates self-reliance, confidence, taking responsibility, speaking clearly and effectively, working as a member of a team, critically assessing the value of information, and sharing ideas in a persuasive and engaging manner.  These qualities support Marlborough College’s aim of producing outstanding young people who are empathetic, socially minded and want to make a positive difference in the world around them.”

Dan Clark, Deputy Head Academic at Marlborough College, said “the development of enterprise and entrepreneurial behaviours, attributes and skills is part of our progressive Academic Vision to equip our pupils to be active future citizens with the abilities, passion and determination to make a difference in their communities. We are delighted to be one of the first schools within the UK to be working with ABE to develop a specific MBA programme for our pupils which will support all year groups and integrate with our other partnerships and programmes in technology, innovation and social enterprise”.
