I gained more intimate knowledge of real-world business activities and practices and I was able to use the knowledge I gained throughout this programme to become more involved in my organisation, implementing new protocols which helped the company become more efficient.

As I wanted to enhance my career opportunities and knowledge, I joined the ABE programme which was practical, high quality, and had a flexible learning opportunity while working full-time.

I personally chose ABE because it is recognised internationally for providing excellent qualifications, it is comprised of a multi-skills curriculum.  It is a professional course and also there is a huge possibility that the qualification holder can work in foreign countries, unlike other qualification boards. In Malawi, employers and the public value prospective employees with an ABE qualification as they possess a wide variety of knowledge in overall business dynamics. 

I chose ABE because it is recognised worldwide and growing in recognition in Guyana. It was affordable for me while I was unemployed, and has continued to allow me flexibility so I can take units while I’m working. Should I decide to pursue a degree programme in the future, ABE also has a top-up programme that allows for an easier transition to a leading UK university or a local one.

A large number of corporate employers in my country recognise ABE Level 6 qualification as the highest standard, far greater than ever before. I believe ABE has been a great tool for working people who would like to have more varied skills and achieve their career goals.

The best thing about studying with ABE is that its modules are intense, well-structured, and informative on different aspects of business. These modules are not limited to specific aspects of business, but allow a student to explore and go beyond various business aspects and scenarios. I was employed as a Registry Clerk but, in the middle of my studies after completing Level 5 Diploma, I was promoted to the post of an Assistant Human Resource Management Officer because of the skills that I acquired with ABE.

Apart from creating my own business, I have also discovered that ABE is highly employable and a lot of students who undergo ABE courses are already employed in companies and are paid better salaries.
