We are delighted to announce the winners of 2025 Future Entrepreneur competition.
First prize goes to My First Kit team, representing Kaasthamandap Vidhyalaya in Nepal with runner-up Swachhalay, representing Learning Wings Education Systems, India. Huge congratulations to them both. As an organisation dedicated to empowering young entrepreneurs—and especially girls—we are thrilled to see the top two prizes go to female-led teams this year.
My first kit was founded by 13-year-olds Adhishree Basnet, Vedasri Malla, and Kairavi Shah. Their idea - a beautifully packaged menstrual kit - provides girls with all the essential products they need when they start their periods. At the heart of their proposal is a strong commitment to social responsibility, including free courses and kits for girls in rural Nepal. The team will receive $1,000 in seed funding to help bring their idea to life.
Swachhalay is the brainchild of 11-year-old Srishti Agarwal, whose mission is to provide safe, clean, hygienic public toilets for all. She will receive $500 to support her entrepreneurial journey.
What the judges said:
On My First Kit:
Lesley Li said, "The team is addressing a pain point which is not traditionally openly discussed for young girls. They also touched on important topics such as mental health issues, which is an urgent societal issue.’"
Philip Salter said, "Great to see the product in the presentation – It looks to be of very high standard."
Michael Buchan said, "An excellent idea and social good brought together entrepreneurially to provide a sustainable service. Modest in many places which hides what must have been a very in-depth look at the opportunity. Would suggest that funding from NGO's would be a realistic target once initial development and concept proving has been completed. A pleasure to watch a so well-considered presentation and such capable and professional budding entrepreneurs."
On Swachhalay:
Philip Salter said, “This would really help change the world for the better. The slide deck was particularly impressive.”
Michael Buchan said, “Meeting a necessity that repeats frequently is an excellent basis for an entrepreneurial adventure. This is backed up with some startling statistics and a savvy view of the environment. Engaging with what will meet safety, sanitary and public health targets while still being sustainable and scalable will be a challenge, but this young entrepreneur seems undaunted...”
Lesley Li said, “The presenter is addressing an urgent issue in the market.”
