Assessments

Student ABE

Each unit in an ABE qualification is assessed either by an examination or an assignment.  Our short awards operate on a six-week turnaround throughout the year.  Assessments for the rest of ABE's qualifications take place during  June and November/December, plus there is an additional assignments-only window in March.

Click here for updated information regarding June 2020 COVID-19 arrangements.

How to book

To book an assessment you first need to be registered with us through an ABE centre. New learners can register with ABE throughout the year, this will provide immediate access to all our study resources,  however if you wish to take an assessment in a particular session you need to observe the registration deadlines published below.  Assessments can then be booked either by your ABE study centre on your behalf or directly with us when you feel ready. There is no limit to the number of assessments you can book, you can take as much or as little time as you need to achieve your qualification, but we do not recommend taking more than five units in any one session.

Don't forget to use the resources in the Portal. These are designed to help you and, maybe, you will join our Top Paper Award winners (see Grades and Awards)! We wish you every success!

You can see our standard assessment fees in the Study with Us section.
