Debora Mbah Keng "The best thing about my ABE studies is that it helps me know the various departments in an organisation and its activities. It has also helped me in managing different resources especially time, money and people."

Debora plans to use her ABE qualification to progress with her career before going on to study for an MBA.

Chuu Shwe Cin"The best thing about ABE is that I can learn all the courses in any order over any time period. I have gained much knowledge from classmates, as they are from different business environments, and I have developed many skills such as communication, management and presentation."

Chuu is planning to use her ABE qualifications to go on to an MBA overseas.

Brian MukojaBefore ABE, I had never tried accounting but in a short duration of two weeks l had acquired a novice set of skills that helped me plan more efficiently in business and life in general."

Brian has enjoyed success as a teacher and a pianist but realised business skills would provide him with greater options for the future.

Anjalee Wijewardane"It was prominently my brother who inspired me to follow this course. He studied with ABE and upon his completion of Level 6, the recognition he obtained from universities to complete his Bachelors final year was immense. I followed the same path and was welcomed by many universities to complete my undergraduate degree."

Anjalee is a compliance professional at HSBC.  She tells how she manages to successfully combine study with her full-time job.

PATRICK MUTHENGI“ABE helped me to discover my strengths. The course equipped me well to discover my passion for marketing. My marketing skills were sharpened and my performance at work improved tremendously. As a result the management moved me from being an office messenger to a sales executive. Within a span of one year I got promoted to a territory sales manager. Afterwards I joined Mount Kenya University to do a degree in Business Management specialising in marketing. Because of ABE qualifications they gave me credit transfers which enabled me to join the 3rd year .”

With hard work and determination Patrick has worked his way up to his current position.

Tedetia Chance “After five years working as an accounts receivable clerk, I was able to get a job offer as the assistant accountant at Donemar Limited. ABE has helped me to make this change in my life.”

When Tedetia was unable to embark on full-time education she found ABE offered the solution that allowed her to pursue her academic ambitions whilst still working.

Pilirani Kalizang'oma Zimba"I would encourage those starting out to go ahead and register with ABE if you are hesitating. If you have already registered, I encourage you to continue. ABE has assisted me in my path to progression and I know it can do the same for you. Their modules are very good and they have all the necessary study resources on their website. Upon completion of the ABE syllabus, you can be exempted some modules in other courses like I was, or you can go on to the third or fourth year of a university degree."

Pilirani enjoys her busy accountancy role. She tells us how she used her ABE studies to further her career and gain exemption from further professional studies.

"Atukwase CleophusThe ABE qualification has undoubtedly supported my work as Chief Executive Officer and helped me deal with the challenges of my role. After completing the Level 6 Diploma, I became particularly proficient in strategic planning and drafting manuals and, as a result of this, the Board recommended me for a lecturing job at a university."

Although he had Bachelors degree, Atukwase found he lacked the management skills he needed to progress his career as he would have liked.  After looking round, he found the ABE Level 6 Diploma offered what he needed.
