ABE qualifications are designed to assist in achieving my full potential in studying to build a future career.

Meena has been inspired by her parents to always work hard and do her best #ABEway.  She plans to progress onto a Masters degree and says, "The one and most important tip that I would advise for successful studies through ABE is that you must be disciplined and willing to put in the hard work in order to reap the benefits".  Here's her story:

"I was born and raised in a village called Uitvlugt located on the West Coast of Demerara, Region No.3, Guyana, South America. I was raised by my mother and father both until 2015 sadly when my mother died leaving my father to raise me alone until now. With my father by my side, he’s always been supportive, caring, protective, loving and always fulfils his fatherly duties towards giving me a better education. Being raised by my dad has taught me to be content and appreciative of all the sacrifices he has made for me. From a young age, I always had the willpower to be successful in my educational goals because I knew this was a way to repay both my parents for their hard work and sacrifices.

I chose ABE because of its outstanding global reputation, highly accredited programmes and convenient hours offered to students who work and study. ABE qualifications are designed to assist in achieving my full potential in studying to build a future career. ABE offers great university progression meaning, with an ABE qualification, it gives me a fast and affordable route to a Masters degree. Each qualification carries 120 credits which match the stage of a degree so technically with my Level 5 qualifications that I have completed so far, I can head straight into my final year of a comparable Masters degree.

In Guyana, ABE is recognised by both the public and employers as one of the leading educational institutions in the United Kingdom. On the other hand, students can also manage their time between families and social lives at the same time as developing their skills through ABE. Achieving this award was not only a result of my hard work and perseverance but also from the support and guidance that was provided by my father, Managing Stakeholder Relationships lecturer Mr. Harlequin and well as the institution that facilitated my course, The Business School. My current plan after completing the ABE Level 5 Diploma is to move straight into my final year to acquire my degree. My next goal after would be to pursue my Masters of Business Administration.

After completing this academic journey it will strengthen and broaden my horizon by focusing on building leadership skills and learning business principles. With a few skills acquired from ABE namely critical thinking, research, analysis and strategic management, I am now more advanced in making decisions when solving problems.

The one and most important tip that I would advise for successful studies through ABE is that you must be disciplined and willing to put in the hard work in order to reap the benefits. This means being punctual to all available tutoring sessions, participating in open discussions with your lecturers and peers and also thinking out of the box. In this way, you will guarantee success on your academic journey."
