Sylvester received his ABE qualifications from Pentecost University in Ghana. He then was able to secure a job with his diplomas. He advises ABE students to take their studies seriously as an advanced diploma is equivalent to a Bachelors degree and can lead to employment opportunities.

Here is Sylvester's story:

My name is Sylvester Nifah, I am from Ghana and live in Accra. I am in a family of 6.

I work at the Controller and Accountant General Department Ghana which is the accounting class of the nation. I am employed as the Senior Account Technician and my duties are as follows, receiving cash and cheques from clients and keeping records in the ledger and cash books, bank transactions, etc.

I pursued this qualification for a period of three years at Pentecost University Ghana. Because I was dedicated and completed it on time. After completing senior high school, I saw the ABE advert on social media and decided to apply. So, I did exactly that and I gained admission to study ABE at Pentecost University. I took the course seriously, so I was able to pass my exams and get all my qualifications. Later, I went to the Ghana accreditation board, and they gave me a copy indicating that my certificate was equivalent to my first degree. I have applied for two jobs with this certificate and have never been turned down.

I would advise all students who are starting their careers in ABE that, an advanced diploma is equivalent to a Bachelors degree so they should take their studies seriously and out of dedication they will be able to pass their exams and will get employed with this qualification.
