Faculty Development Training with ABE partners in Malawi

ABE Faculty Development Training

On 10th February 2022, ABE conducted Faculty Development Training. The session was attended by 27 of the top lectures from all its centre partners in Lilongwe. These lecturers were from Lilongwe Technical College, PACT College, Malawi College of Accountancy, K&M and MAGU CDC.

The training focused on enhancing classroom delivery strategies for coherence with ABE's assessment methodologies specifically. Key themes included delivering in a flipped classroom, assessing learning styles for targeted delivery, developing critical thinking for the workplace, teaching for higher education and managing academic integrity.

ABE's Director for CARICOM & AFRICA, Mrs Kereesa Carrington-Nunez delivered the session bringing to bear her 20 years of teaching and educational leadership. She was assisted by Mr. Harold Banda, ABE's Regional Manager for Blantyre.

The initiative was well received and led to the certification of the participants. Such activities are in line with the ABE WAY. ABE's renewed commitment to support our centres and ultimately our learners to help them embrace uncertainty and turn risk into opportunity.
