Senior manager, Liyanage, chose ABE to help him accelerate a move into a top management position and eventually become the CEO. He praises the support of his classmates and tutors #ABEway. Here's his story,
"I’m from Colombo, Sri Lanka. I've been in the banking and finance sector for over 7 years, primarily working in marketing and financial management roles. I currently work n the real estate industry where I oversee the marketing and condominium handing-over process. Now I'm looking to expand my experience in the industry, particularly in wealth management, which is why I'm so interested to plan my next journey with ABE.
As I wanted to enhance my career opportunities and knowledge, I joined the ABE programme which was practical, high quality, and had a flexible learning opportunity while working full-time
Oxford College of Business has my love and respect for their guidance and support for allowing me to choose the program which goes parallel with my ambitions.
ABE is a highly preferred qualification in Sri Lanka, particularly among working professionals who want to advance in their careers. ABE learning way is designed in such a way that applies to the real world. I’m planning to go forward with my Masters right now.
The memories with my fellow classmates of sharing knowledge, resources, and study materials, as well as assisting and pushing each other even at the last minute shall be treasured forever. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all my friends and lecturers for being so supportive, motivating, and inspiring throughout my time at the college.
Studying ABE helps me to gain some real-world practical knowledge such as interpersonal, business awareness, networking, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
I already hold a senior executive role, and I want to move into top management in the next three years. My current role has given me a lot of leadership and people management experience. My ultimate goal is to start up my own company and become the CEO of a prestigious company."
