Innovate Bhutan launches a plan to deliver KidsMBA throughout the Kingdom

Innovate Bhutan is proud to announce a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Bhutan Youth Development Fund (YDF), KidsMBA, and ABE, marking the start of an initiative to nurture Bhutan’s next generation of entrepreneurs.

The partnership delivers the ABE Endorsed KidsMBA programme to children across the Kingdom. Modelled on an adult MBA but tailored for young learners, the programme introduces essential business concepts and entrepreneurial skills in a fun and practical way. In Bhutan, it is uniquely adapted to align with the nation’s Gross National Happiness philosophy.

The project launches on 11th November, chosen to honour the Fourth King’s vision of Gross National Happiness, highlighting Bhutan’s commitment to youth development and leadership from an early age.

Kinley Tenzin, Social Enterprises Director at YDF, said, “We are excited about the potential of this partnership and look forward to working closely with ABE Global and KidsMBA Ltd to bring this initiative to life. We are confident it will create lasting value for the young people of Bhutan.”

Through this collaboration, Bhutanese children gain practical business skills, confidence, and an entrepreneurial mindset, laying the foundation for a generation equipped to innovate and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s future.

Prof Mark Watson-Gandy O.B.E., Founder of KidsMBA, added, "This is such an inspirational project by the Bhutan Youth Development Fund (YDF). ABE Global and KidsMBA HQ are so excited to be working with the Bhutan Youth Development Fund on this amazing initiative to nurture Bhutan’s next generation of entrepreneurs."

ABE is an Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation.  We specialise in qualifications and courses in business, entrepreneurship and leadership, and our mission is to widen access to economic opportunity through business education. ABE Managing Director, Melanie Robinson, said, "This collaboration perfectly aligns with ABE’s vision to make quality business education accessible and relevant globally. By contextualising the KidsMBA programme for Bhutan, we’re supporting the development of young leaders who will drive innovation and sustainable growth for years to come.”

ABE regional manager, Vinayak Sudhakar, who has worked with Innovate Bhutan to develop this partnership, added, "Commemorating the 70th Birth Anniversary of Bhutan's Fourth King, HM Jigme Singye Wangchuck, I am thrilled that ABE and KidsMBA have signed a special MOU with Innovate Bhutan - YDF.   We have already trained 31 Bhutan teachers in the KidsMBA coordinators' certificated course. This shows our commitment to the noble cause of building entrepreneurship skills in the youth of Bhutan alongside our delivery partner, Innovate Bhutan YDF.  I wish the programme every success."
