Open-book exam question papers for May 2021 are on the portal

Open-book exam questions have been published on the portal today.  Learners can find the question papers under the relevant unit in the Exam Preparation tab. 

Please do not submit an open-book exam if you are based in Malawi. Learners in Malawi will be assessed by timed exam (this is based on feedback from local stakeholders).  

Assignment briefs have been published today.

Diploma assignment briefs for May 2021 assessment have been published on the portal today.  They can be found typing 'May 2021' in the search bar.

New resources support delivery and revision for May/June assessments

The May/June 2021 assessment window is being supported by documented Delivery Guidance (for centres) and a Guide for Lost Learning  (for learners). These resources are designed to help balance out the lost learning time that may have been caused by prolonged centre closures and disruption as a result of the pandemic.  The guides enable centres to target teaching and learners to target revision to focus on the areas that will help to deliver success in this assessment session.

Examiner reports for November/December 2020 assessments now available.

Examiners’ reports cover all units and provide an invaluable insight into what ABE examiners are looking for and how you can gain or lose marks.  As well as providing understanding of your results, these reports can also help you prepare for units you are planning to sit at the next session.

ABE UpSkill - a new digital CPD platform aligned to industry 4.0 launches today

UpSkillWe are pleased to announce the launch of ABE UpSkill - a new digital platform comprised of short courses, aligned to future skills needs based on industry 4.0 (World Economic Forum).  These courses are available through ABE centres.  They can be taken as standalone professional development or used to complement longer programmes of study by adding specific workplace training to your skills portfolio.

Global survey highlights increased demand for entrepreneurial skills in wake of COVID-19

This report, from a survey of learners around the world, highlights the impact of COVID-19 on education, aspirations and expectations.  Responses came from 35 countries with strong representation from people located in sub-Saharan Africa and the Caribbean.

ABE Accredited Qualifications in Zambia

ABE 120 credit Diploma qualifications have been granted accreditation by the Zambia Qualification Authority (ZAQA).  They will sit on the ZAQA Qualification Framework at Levels 4-6. 

Statement on Myanmar State of Emergency

ABE has operated in Myanmar for more than a decade, and we are following events in Myanmar closely and urge all parties to exercise self-restraint and to observe the principles of constitutional government.  We will stand-by to support learners when they are ready and able to resume their studies.  Our thoughts and prayers are for a positive and peaceful outcome for the people of Myanmar.
